Church life at Temple of Praise is designed to fulfil its five objectives: building intimacy with God, building understanding and ability in the body, building communities, building the church family, and building God’s kingdom. The church is committed to worship, prayer, fellowship, equipping and service.
TOP encourages worship centrally in our celebration meetings on Sundays and other special events, in our midweek Community Group meetings and as individuals on a daily basis.
Prayer has always been the engine of the Church anchored around our monthly all night prayer nights and participation in the City wide prayer initiatives in partnership with other churches.
The sound Biblical preaching and teaching given at every Sunday Celebration form the basis of the teaching ministry of the church. We run various courses for different stages of Christian growth and experience. Temple of Praise is taking part in Biblefresh and the E100 challenge this year.
Members meet for fun and fellowship in geographically-based Community Groups, in active gender/age-based groups (Men, Women, Young Adults, Youth), on church days out and at other events. People are encouraged to visit and invite each other home.
Every Christian has been called to serve. Every member of Temple of Praise is encouraged, and indeed challenged to live a life of service to God and others. The different ministry teams provide a wide range of opportunities for the congregation to get involved and put their time, energy, gifts and talents at God’s disposal to transform the lives of others.
