God made each of us to last forever
Eccl. 3:11 – God…has planted eternity in the human heart.
II Cor. 5:1 – Our earthly body is only a “tent” - our future body is a “house”
Vs. 17b – “The man who does the will of God lives forever”.
Your views of Life determines how you live on earth - Sometimes expressed through: Clothes - Jewellery - Cars - tattoos - Hairstyles -
Influences/Affects your: Expectations - Values Relationships - Goals - Priorities
Seeing Life from God’s View
Life is a test Character is both developed and revealed by tests, and all of life is a test. God continually tests people’s character, love, faith, obedience, integrity and loyality
Life is a trust - God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.“ Gen.1:28
Life is a temporary assignment
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is Temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)
It’s all about him
“For everything comes from God alone.
Everything living by his power, and everything is for his glory." Romans 11:36 (LB)
“The Lord has made everything for his own purposes….” Proverbs 16:4 (NLT)
Living to bring glory to God
We bring God glory by worshiping him – Rom. 12:1;
We bring God glory by loving other believers – I John 3:14
We bring God glory by becoming like Christ – Phil. 1:11; John 15:8
We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts – I Pet. 4:10-11
We bring God glory by telling others about him – II Cor. 4:15
